Austin, Texas
We are headed to the amazing Kendra Scott headquarters in Austin to visit an incredible store.
Our drive in the Model Y on FSD beta caught the attention of Linda Yaccarino, CEO of X. Linda was inspired to reply to Gail’s Tesla Podcast, saying she loves Kendra’s jewelry!
Let’s meet Kendra Scott! (or at least visit one of her many stores)
Kendra’s story is inspiring
Kendra Scott started her business in Austin, Texas in 2002 with just $500 and a spare bedroom in her home. She overcame skepticism from those who believed she needed to move to New York to succeed in the fashion industry, but she proved them wrong by building her successful empire in the heart of Austin.
Her designs were featured in various fashion shows, and her big break came when her jewelry was chosen for Oscar de la Renta’s Spring 2006 Runway Show. In an interview with The Daily Front Row, Kendra said,
“In 2005, I had the honor of meeting Mr. de la Renta and collaborating with him to design the jewelry for his Spring 2006 runway show. I’ve always respected and admired this man, and I will never forget him giving a young designer like me a chance. I will forever remember his brilliant talent and incredible generosity. It truly was the experience of a lifetime.”
The 2009 recession nearly wiped out everything she had. Despite this setback, Kendra persevered and continued to grow her brand.
Her designs have resonated with people worldwide, and she has become a household name. Kendra is a shining example of what can be achieved with passion and dedication.

Why I do this podcast.
Since 55 podcasts is a milestone, I thought I would reflect on why I do these podcasts. My passion for this format is to inspire and encourage other people to use Tesla’s FSD beta software in their Model Y, Model 3, Model S or Model X. The reason for this is summed up in one word: SAFETY.
When Tesla Autopilot is used, it turns out that there is only one accident out of 5.5 Million miles driven. Tragically, without using the software, there is a staggering one accident after only 1 million miles driven (in a Tesla). But the US overall average is even worse. For every 500,000 miles, there is an accident. Lives are saved with Tesla Autopilot.
I think that Tesla’s FSD beta is orders of magnitude safer than regular Autopilot. I have plans to reach 420 podcasts!
